Patchwork Treehouse Press is founded to publish the collected works of author C.J. Tody and selected artists, in books and anthologies about the patchwork nature of life.
“Why Patchwork?” you ask. A few mismatched pieces of this and that will fall into each of our lives, and we piece them together into a patchwork portraiture of ourselves ~ much the way seamstresses piece together upcycled scraps of assorted fabric, tie them together with multicolored stitchery ~ and create a magnificent quilt!
“Why Treehouse?” The idea of reading in a treehouse puts a playful spin on otherwise monumental subjects, and this reminds us of all the wonderful, imaginative, trendy fun we dabbled in during childhood ~ an essential layer that underpins who we become as adults, and then how we continually reinvent ourselves throughout life. Besides, I’d love to have a treehouse. Wouldn’t you? Treehouses are fun!
PTP is developing books about empowering life dreams, novelty travel, illustrated poetry, tales for children, adventures in creative reinvention. Currently in edit is the Magical Creatures of Brambleberry Lane, and Rickety Cricketina & the Ancient Mariners – a romping fun novel set on Old Mission Peninsula. Look for these and other offerings.
